High Flow Industrial Liquid Filtration
High-capacity multi-bag filter housings for industrial liquid filtration applications requiring increased flow area and longer service intervals.
Monarch Asia Pacific supplies multi chamber bag filter vessels for applications where a single bag filter does not provide sufficient flow capacity or dirt-holding volume. These vessels use multiple filter bags or cleanable baskets within one housing to provide greater filtration area for demanding process duties.
Multi chamber bag filter vessels are designed for liquid filtration applications where higher flow rates, increased filtration surface area or longer operating cycles are required. Instead of relying on a single filter bag, the vessel contains multiple bag chambers within one pressure housing.
This arrangement increases the available flow area and dirt-holding capacity, allowing the system to handle larger volumes of liquid while reducing filter change frequency when correctly sized. Multi chamber vessels are commonly selected for process water, chemical liquids, wastewater, coatings, resins, food and beverage applications and other industrial services.
Monarch can assist with vessel selection, bag size, number of chambers, filter bag media, flange requirements, pressure drop considerations, fabricated supports and skid arrangements.
A multi chamber bag filter vessel is a pressure housing designed to hold multiple filter bags or cleanable baskets. Process liquid enters the vessel and is distributed across the bag chambers, allowing a larger total filtration area than a single bag housing.
Each chamber accepts an industry-standard filter bag or basket. As the liquid passes through the filter media, suspended solids are retained and the filtered liquid continues through the outlet.
Multi chamber vessels are often used where a single bag filter would require frequent changeout, create excessive pressure drop or be unable to handle the required process flow.
Flow capacity is calculated from the selected bag size and the number of chambers fitted in the vessel.
| Bag Size | Indicative Flow Rate | Approximate Bag Dimensions | Approximate Flow Area |
|---|---|---|---|
| Size 01 | 20,000 litres per hour × number of chambers | Ø178 mm × 420 mm | 0.24 m² × number of chambers |
| Size 02 | 40,000 litres per hour × number of chambers | Ø178 mm × 810 mm | 0.48 m² × number of chambers |
A 4 chamber vessel using Size 02 bags may provide an indicative water flow guide of approximately 160,000 litres per hour when fitted with nominal-rated filter bags.
A 6 chamber vessel using Size 02 bags may provide an indicative water flow guide of approximately 240,000 litres per hour when fitted with nominal-rated filter bags.
A practical solution where high flow capacity and longer operating cycles are required.
Multiple bag chambers increase total filtration area, making these vessels suitable for larger process flows.
Increased dirt-holding capacity can reduce filter bag change frequency when the vessel and media are correctly selected.
Spreading the flow across multiple bags may help manage pressure drop compared with undersized single-bag systems.
Available chamber counts allow the vessel to be selected around process flow, available space and service requirements.
Depending on the vessel and duty, filter bags or cleanable stainless steel baskets may be used.
Monarch can assist with sizing, media selection, connection requirements, skid layouts and practical installation support.
Choose from quick-open, swing eye bolt, stud bolt and strainer-style multi chamber vessel configurations.
Quick-open multi chamber filter housings with pressure relief valve for high-flow liquid filtration duties requiring efficient access for bag changeout.
Multi chamber bag filter vessels with swing eye bolt or stud bolt cover arrangements for general high-flow industrial filtration applications.
Multi chamber strainer configuration for duties where cleanable baskets or strainer-style filtration are preferred over disposable filter bags.
Correct vessel selection depends on the required flow rate, liquid viscosity, solids loading, micron rating, operating pressure and allowable pressure drop. The number of chambers should be selected to provide adequate flow area without creating unnecessary vessel size or cost.
For higher solids loading or longer service intervals, additional bag capacity may be required. For finer filtration or high-efficiency filter bags, the vessel may need to be sized more conservatively to manage pressure drop.
Multi chamber filter vessels can be used with disposable filter bags for broad micron rating flexibility and straightforward changeout. They may also be configured with cleanable stainless steel baskets where reusable filtration media or strainer-style protection is preferred.
The correct media type depends on the required filtration result, solids loading, cleaning preference, fluid compatibility and acceptable pressure drop.
Multi chamber bag filter vessels are commonly used where larger volumes of liquid need to be filtered through replaceable bags or cleanable baskets.
